Designed for those on duty as sworn officers or who are duty bound to defend their home and family the MK-15 PURG Individual Duty Carbine provides a light, durable and reliable carbine. The PURG-IDC shares the SWORD proprietary heavy-duty short stroke gas piston system which instills confidence of accuracy, reliability and durability with every round fired. The SWORD light weight, ergonomically designed M-LOK compatible free-floating modular rail system allows the shooter to customize and configure lights, lasers, and grips to fit their individual needs while maintaining a low profile.
- Cold hammer-forged barrel with ultra-precise rifling.
- Nitride coated barrel for longevity and durability
- Mil-Spec flash suppressor.
- 1:8in twist rate stabilizes bullets from 55 to 77 grains, and the 5.56 NATO chamber allows the use of both 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem. ammunition.
- M4 feed ramps provide improved reliability, and the matte black nitrided finish provides corrosion resistance.
- Made from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum forging, the flat top upper receiver includes a forward assist, dust cover and brass deflector, and is Type III hard-coat anodized for maximum durability.
- Mono piston style bolt carrier
- Also includes: one, 30-round magazine.
- Lower receiver is fitted with Mil-Spec grip and Mil-Spec Carbine collapsible buttstock.
- Bolt is mil-spec 9310 and is machined and shot peened for strength and durability.
- Mil-Spec trigger group
- 15″ free-floated modular rail system is slim and provides enhanced ergonomics.
