The Kestrel 5700 with LiNK and the Applied Ballistics app is one of the most impressive weather meters on the market. This model closely resembles the Elite model with a few key differences. The Elite includes the proprietary Applied Ballistics software. The 5700 has ballistics software, but it is not Applied Ballistics. This model does not have Drop Scale Factor, so if you are shooting transonic (past 1200 yards), do not get this meter, get the Elite. If you are shooting less than 1200 yards, DSF will not matter. Also, this model does not include the Custom Curves and without this feature a shooter has to rely on the BC provided by the bullet manufacturer, rather than the tested and proven measurements collected by Kestrel.
